  Stayed just 1 night. Positives: hot water & good pressure in the shower, room was clean & linen on the beds fresh. AC was effective. Location is handy to bottle shop, cafes & restaurants.
  Negatives: place is old & in desperate need of an update as nothing's been done in years. The plumbing is original with a single flush button cistern, taps are hard to turn on & off & the dripping tap in the basin drove me nuts as did the squeal from the taps next door when they used the bathroom. The water didn't drain from the shower indicating a partial blockage. The mattress was hard & the pillows should've been binned years ago - 1 was hard as a rock, the other was so thin it was useless. I could go on but have chosen not to.
  
  Overall it was OK for just 1 night but the whole place needs to be totally renovated. I get it that Covid has hit hospitality/tourism hard but this place has been let go for a long, long time.

  My company stays here several times a year booking multiple rooms each time.
  On the last visit management abused our staff as they refused to permit us to park our small truck there (they've never had a problem in the past 15+ times the truck was there).
  Today we tried to make a reservation and were told we weren't allowed there again and abruptly hung up on us. (This time we're travelling by car).
  Management at Chelsea you just lost a valued customer.

  Stayed here with partner and toddler to break up the car trip between Sydney and Gold Coast over 2021 December holidays. Staff were friendly and approachable at concierge.On-site parking is not covered but adequate and right outside the rooms. Main issues I had were with the room facilities and their condition/quality, which I didn't find value for money. The switches and power outlets were hard to reach and spaced out all over the room without labels or near what they operated.A/C switch would certainly have benefited from a clear label. Room lacked lamps so all the ceiling lights had to be turned on if we wanted to avoid tripping in the dark during the night (like a toddler or pregnant woman for multiple bathroom trips). Room didn't come with plates, bowls or cutlery or complementary snacks but serveware could be requested at reception. Smart TV was inoperable for streaming services and covered the mirror on a desk (a squished area at the base of our beds), a power outlet was available at the desk but away from the beds where you might expect to use devices. Bed bases had wheels without locks on the tiled floor so they slid around the room when even our little one tried climbing into bed. Bathroom taps had poor pressure so they groaned and rumbled loudly when in use and were tricky to control the temperature. Towel racks were high up near the ceiling so a challenge for people shorter than 5"10 to reach. Bathroom wall tiles were blown out below the sink to reveal a hole to the bare brick wall and plumbing. Was an uncomfortable night for us after a long drive but this may suit a single person or couple without kids who just want a tiny space to sleep. Just not value for the peak season with pandemic demand cost.

  Unwelcoming cranky operator.
  Good location but lots of noise from highway
  Noise from garbage collection next door early in the morning. Stairs leading upstairs are non ergonomic making them very dangerous. There are many more accomodating places to stay close to the centre of Coffs Harbour than this one.
  Interesting that reviews from around 3years ago are all well mentioned and replied to. After then the reviews are seldom and negative.

  Our company has stayed there many times in the past. We will not stay there again due to dealing with cranky, abusive and unreasonable management. Too many issues to report about this dilapidated hotel, but reading some of the other reviews will explain.
  Do yourself a favour, there are plenty of other better places at that price range.
